About Us
Tim Dittes began working in the grocery business as a teen in 1977 at his father's grocery store in Appleton, MN. He decided at a young age that he would like to follow in his father's footsteps. In the late 1980's, Tim met Jodi, his wife. They were married in 1991. She joined the business in 1994, doing the books. Ownership of that first store gradually transitioned from father to son and daughter-in-law, with Tim & Jodi purchasing a second store in 1999 in Dawson, MN. After that came additional stores in Iowa (2014), and 4 more in Minnesota from 2016-2020.
Tim & Jodi now own 8 stores in Minnesota and Iowa, and an interest in a 9th store in eastern South Dakota. They are proud to provide quality groceries with small-town customer service in the communities they serve.
